It’s been 10 years since CondeNast published the first issue of Vogue Russia. The publisher also has GQ, Glamour, Tatler and Architectural Digest magazines in Russia.
Should you would like to get a famous designer version of traditional Russian souvenir doll Matryoshka, there will be 31 such dolls auctioned on November 20 as a part of the party to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Vogue Russia.
Matryoshka is a set of dolls of decreasing sizes placed one inside the other. The starting price for a half meter-long Matryoshka will be EUR 5,000.
The designer houses Burberry, Celine, Dolge & Gabbana, Nina Donis, Prada, Roberto Cavalli, Paul Smith, Oscar de la Renta, Sonia Rykiel, Versace, etc. as well as some popular Russian fashion designers has developed their own versions of Matryoshka.
My favorite one is designed by Giorgio Armani (see on the left).
