– The leading Russian social network, Odnoklassniki.ru, which is majority owned by a Facebook investor DST (Digital Sky Technologies) has announced a new site design to provide a better site navigation and increase page load speed. Odnoklassniki.ru, which has 40 million registered accounts and 10 million daily users, has revealed its first major site re-design since first launch in March 2006.
- The leading Russian online portal, Mail.ru, which is also majority owned by DST, has launched its own online payment service Money@Mail.ru (Деньги@Mail.ru). The Mail.ru users can now pay for online gaming and other services of Mail.ru via its own payment service as well as to pay for outside services such as mobile phone bills, web hosting, internet access and others. Money@Mail.ru is integrated with instant payment terminals of QIWI, the leading Russian instant payment operator that is 25%-owned by DST.
- The leading Russian search engine, Yandex and the most popular instant messaging software client in Russia, ICQ have released their first co-branded client, Yandex ICQ or ICQ 6.5 version. The Yandex ICQ downloadable client software integrates Yandex search, traffic, weather and other services. Until recently, ICQ had a partnership with Rambler in Russia.
