The 2nd Moscow Regional Venture Fund, which is managed by VTB Asset Management, has invested $4 million in exchange for a 30% stake in Bentus Laboratories that makes the Sanitelle sanitizer products for personal and professional use, reported newspaper RBC Daily. The investment will be used to expand production of Sanitelle products and for marketing purposes.
Founded in 2003, Bentus Laboratories develops, manufactures and markets hygiene products. Its Moscow-based production facilities has European equipment manufactured in compliance with GMP requirements. Bentus has been the first Russian producer that offered domestic-made hand sanitizer.
The 2nd Moscow Regional Venture Fund (Второй Региональный венчурный фонд инвестиций в малые предприятия в научно-технической сфере города Москвы) was formed in November 2008 with 800 million Rubles ($27 million) in equity capital. The fund is managed by VTB Asset Management, part of VTB Capital.
