 The Russian venture money keeps supporting the Russian entrepreneurs globally. The Russian-founded IM+ developer SHAPE Services has received $10 million from Finam, a Russian financial investor in Badoo social dating site and Mamba online dating platform, SHAPE announced.
Started in 2002, SHAPE Services developed mobile instant messaging app IM+ with 17.5 million users. Based in Stutgart, Germany, SHAPE was founded by Igor Berezovsky. The company recently released Beep, a cross-platform IM+ in-app push messenger on iOS, Android, BlackBerry and Windows Phone.
Finam Private Equity Fund, part of Russian brockerage and financial firm FINAM, invests in global players in TMT sector. Finam and SHAPE are going to launch FinamShape joint-venture that will release a special version of plus.im web messenger for the Russian market.
