The Japanese venture capital firm, UMJ Russia Fund has led a new funding round in Russian online dating service Teamo.ru. Including initial funding, Teamo.ru received more than $2 million, of which UMJ (Russia) likely invested $1 million. The Russian online retailer of sports goods, Heverest.ru has received $4.3 million in new funds from the prevous investor, Otto Group-backed eVenture Capital as well as from a Russian investor. ‘Amazon of Russia’, OZON has received an approval from the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) of the Russian Federation to acquire online shoe store Sapato.ru, according to the FAS’ web-site. The leading Russian early-stage venture capital firm ABRT Fund and European venture capitalist Mangrove Capital Partners have invested in KupiBonus.ru, the online site for group purchasing in health and beauty.
