The brainchild of a Russian-born engineer Lev Walkin, social widget provider , has received $3.6 million Series B funding from and previous investor The Entrepreneur’s Fund III (), Khris Loux, CEO of JS-Kit announced on its . The company previously raised $1.2 million in August 2007 .
Started as a JavaScript comment widget in late 2006, now also offers free widgets for polls, product reviews, rating systems and top rated content. Its customers include thousands of individual bloggers and micro-publishers.
Lev Walkin (pictured to the left), founder and CTO of JS-Kit, who has come to Silicon Valley from the Russian provincial city of Ulyanovsk to work for Cisco, JS-Kit as a project to help his wife, a web designer to have easy comment system on her personal web-site.
