Google‘s Executive Chairman Eric Schmidt‘s investment firm, TomorrowVentures has partnered with Digital October, a Moscow-based business incubator and center of Ru-Com of Mikhail Abyzov, its investment firm Bright Capital and TeleMarker in Russia. Tomorrow Ventures plans to make investments in Russian internet and technology startups out of Digital October‘s business incubator Bricolage. Inspired by Y Combinator business model, Bricolage will make seed investments and incubate hi-tech ventures in Russia.
TomorrowVentures‘ Managing Partner Court Coursey commented that Digital October will provide TomorrowVentures with a mechanism to select the best ideas from Russia.
The Russian internet startups can now get seed and early-stage investments from Mangrove Capital and ABRT Fund; Digital October/Bricolage/Bright Capital and TomorrowVentures of Eric Schmidt; Kite Ventures and eVenture Capital as well as from Runa Capital.
