The Russian nanotechnilogy investment company RUSNANO has agreed to invest up to $125 million out of $250 million in a U.S. – Russia technology transfer fund to be managed by Harris & Harris Group, according to RUSNANO announcement.
Harris & Harris Group is a publicly traded venture capital firm exclusively focused on investing in companies enabled by nanotechnology and microsystems.
Harris & Harris Group‘s Executive Vice President and Managing Director is Alexei Andreev from Russia who used to work at DFJ and Renaissance Capital Group/Sputnik Funds in Moscow, Russia. Previously, Alexei Andreev was a researcher at the Centre of Nanotechnology of the Russian Academy of Sciences in Troitsk, Russia.
RUSNANO has also agreed to invest $200 million in Burrill Capital Fund IV.
