Russian Yuri Milner‘s firm DST Global, which recently raised $1 billion for DST Global 2, has invested $50 million in , the company announced today on its . The Series C investment valued ZocDoc at $700 million, according to . ZocDoc first met (via Ron Conway) with Yuri Milner of DST a month ago.
Founded in 2007, is used by 700,000 patients each month to book doctor and dentist appointments online. ZocDoc offers 5 million appointments across nine major metropolitan areas and dozens of medical specialties in the U.S. Doctors pay $250 per month for ZocDoc.
ZocDoc, which is headed by CEO and co-founder Cyrus Massoumi, previously raised $20 million from Khosla Ventures, Founders Fund, SV Angel, Marc Benioff and Jeff Bezos.
DST Global (formerly Digital Sky Technologies) recently invested in Twitter, Airbnb, Spotify and 360buy.com in China.
